I Framed Mrs Rabbit

Jessica Rabbit by Pixeloo

I know its just pixels and a dash of paint, but if you've ever seen the movie, you'd know that the first time Jessica R saunters on the scene your heart does a little downward flutter to your stomache.
The hapless Roger and the convoluted plot of humans and cartoons fighting out a turf war for hollywood supremacy fades into nothingness as this screen goddess purrs her way to her husband's defence. Her iconic fifties glamour, her uber-femininity, and her tenderness, she loves that silly rabbit, make her a stand up gal in my book, and top of the fantasy lists in many others' books I'm sure.

I visited the artist's blog here and tried to understand more about his "un-tooned" vision; the rendering of popular culture animated characters into more "human" 3-D forms seems to involve all kinds of photoshop and other clever artsy software that includes illustartion, freeze framing and hours and hours of creative hard graft. Respect to all who bring out even more loveliness in one as lovely as Mrs J R, and God bless the artist who understands the importance of bedazzled red sequins looking just "so"...
