Muted Aggression

Can you see a kitten playing with this ball of yarn? I like the cushioned violence in this series. Theres another picture with a rifle wrapped in the same mentalist red yarn.
The hint of danger thrills me, and the suspension of the threatening element fills me with hope and comfort. Even sharp objects can be softened, and yet, it seems to say, don't give in to the fluffy exterior, what lurks beneath can cut you
to the core, literally in this case. How can adding one layer of material change so much, and yet still give it away, and what is the deal with the wrapped objects enthralling us so much?
