Todd Harris Goldman
So besides being adorable, what's the artistic value in Señor Goldman's little stick drawings that were all the rage a few years ago when the David and Goliath t-shirt line first emerged?
Plenty it seems. Controversy behind these "anti-men" slogans sparked debate up and down the US. It also upped the commercial value of the clothing company, subsequent book sales and Tod's own "artwork", original pieces and numbered and signed prints going for a good deal of dosh last time I was in LA a couple of years ago.
Now that the art bit is out of the way can I waffle on about the sentiment. Boys are stupid, and though I would argue against the rock throwing bit (A: it drives them away and then you have to chase them and pretend its their idea all along again and B: rocks have feelings too) I would strongly caution against having any expectations of coherent behavior from them. I'm going to take this opportunity to address a certain boy from this forum and urge him to reform his stupid stupid ways and accept the inevitable state of me that he is currently in denial with.
