Computing the cost

I hate this photo!!! It pains me to know, acknowledge and believe it to be so true in this day and age which makes me hate it even more. We’re a generation of confusion (generation Y if you didn’t know or O for Obama if you’d prefer). We’re spoilt with choices and don’t know where to start or what we want, lost and confused in a fragile state.

We are young but we need to be even younger; no one takes time to sit back and contemplate life, figure out who we are. Generation Y is scared of failure; if we can’t carry ourselves, how can we carry the future? We have no movement, no voice, no revolution and no power (though some would probably debate we have Obama now but excuse me for being somewhat skeptical). I hate this new generation that’s been raised on money and discrimination, putting our faith in the corporation and “buying”. We’re not the one’s buying, we’re the one’s being BOUGHT! We have so much information but no intellectual depth; apparently there’s no need to contain information and ideals in our heads anymore when its so easy to find it with a mouse click or two.
