Everyone tries to fit in with the crowd, to be one with everyone, to be accepted and be understood. The easiest way to do that is by just following the crowd and not listening to your heart. It’s so easy to let go so the waves can float you ashore, but equally difficult to fight it to reach for the wide open ocean!
Mother Teresa once said, “If you keep judging people, you won’t have the time to love them.” I agree. If we don’t like people judging us, what right do we have judging others? It’s like claiming that we are perfect and trust me none of us are. Even if we go to extremes and turn ourselves upside down, we still won’t fit in with the crowd. We are all different with different aspirations, thoughts, beliefs and dreams. What can unite us in peace is the act of “live and let live”!
Albert Einstein, the “mad scientist” had once said, "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." We know that. Look around and try and think how the “great” men and women were perceived as before they reached greatness? They never fit in, that’s what set them apart, that has what made them special. So the next time you label someone as a “weirdo” or “goofy”, think again! Maybe you are talking to the next genius!
