Interesting Drab Food

It's tough what all mothers need to go through to get a meal down a child’s throat. I know it’s an arduous job mothers need to do, but is force feeding the right way to go? Why on Earth is playing with your food such a bad thing? Maybe if mothers played with the food and presented it nicely, the child would happily have it from the get go.
There are interesting ways to make food alluring; flavour is one. But how do you make everyday  toast and eggs interesting? Simple; with creativity. If you use creativity in the right way, you might just be able to add acquiring knowledge into food as well. For example, you could use the colour in food to make flags or objects that the child is learning in school. Use sushi to make the Japanese map, use pasta to draw out Italy. Children remember things visually, and when you add taste to it, it becomes that much more inviting and memorble.
Maths is another thing that can be learnt at the dinner table. Ask for certain number of objects for the child to pass on, ask her to divide a bowl of curry into four parts for the family. These are few techniques I wish were used on me when I was bored with the geography and history lessons at school. If you’re creative enough, maybe you can recreate the World War on your dinner table too! Try it!
