The alternate world

"Caution - Road Work in Reverse" by Alden Cudanin.

We leave our past behind us. Does it stay there? If yes, then where? If time travel becomes possible, will the definition of past, present, and future change? Imagine an alternate world, ahead or behind us, where everything has already happened, will happen, or is happening right now. Maybe we are just a part of an image of that world, where all those times make up “real time.”
It was Plato’s belief that the world we live in is just an image of the real world. Quite a shocking thought. That means every photograph we take becomes a world again! Does it go on like that forever? And if that is true, then do all images walk the same path and cluster in the same world, or do they differ with the different choices different people make in different images?

I wonder how the “real world” would be. Would it still have economic problems, good food, unemployment, obesity, internet, all the same things? I wonder if we will ever find out. If we do, what will our individual image become—more successful than us today? Maybe that will just put in us that seed of guilt of maybe taking the wrong decisions. I couldn’t handle that. Could you?
