Love

Being with the person you love is a blessing you will never realize till you lose them—in life or in death. Getting to spend every moment of your life, sharing the most significant and insignificant moments, is what entails this blessing; in retrospect, even the simplest moments feel like the most beautiful time after you’ve lost them.

Life is an ever-changing picture and the only certainty is death. Today you’re young and enthusiastic, living life your way with your lover; tomorrow you’re old, frail, and alone. Time passes at the speed of light, without even letting you realize what it takes away with it.

Missing someone and knowing that you’ll never be with him or her, knowing that he or she will never again hold your hand, smile with you, cry with you, call out your name—it is a pain that only the sufferer can feel. Perhaps indeed it fades away with time, but that is only because we learn to live with the pain—not because we have forgotten our loved one. When we love someone we give up a part of our soul, and that is non-refundable; there is no turning back.

Loving someone is the most rewarding thing—that knowledge that someone else can be and is more important than you—but losing love makes you realize that he or she meant so much more than you ever imagined.

Love hurts, like sweet poison.
