In love and nude; that is how I describe a person who is in a true relationship.
You lay down your defenses and open yourself up. You are actually more than nude—beyond the physical sense—because you are displaying your soul to the one you love. In this state, you are simultaneously powerful and vulnerable. It is one of life’s unique situations where you can soar as high as an eagle to heights you never dreamed you could reach—but in the same instant you could crash at any moment. The higher you go, the greater the risk of crashing. It is a sad paradox, this situation; lovers sometimes restrain their feelings or are hesitant to be more open with each other. They think the other person will use it against them as a weapon when conflicts emerge. They wield those weapons to make derogatory remarks just to hurt the other partner or to win in a confrontation—resulting in nothing less than a mess. It’s inevitable; when you love you get nude. But let us not forget that when we are nude, we are also open to receive love. When we let the one that we love see our soul, we put ourselves in a position to receive nourishment in every form imaginable."Laughing Water"
