An Interview with God

God. Who is God? Who is this powerful entity who allegedly created the universe? Who is this creator whose creations launch wars and feuds in his name? And if He exists, what if He be a She, the creator, the woman who has the power to create life?

If God exists, would She be happy that there are people who believe fundamentally, in blind faith and superstitious religious rituals? Would She be happy to know that Her own creations—her people—are “sacrificed” to please Her? Imagine the meat of your own child offered to you to please you. What would She look like? And what would be Her plan for us?

Well, suppose we had an interview with God.

What do you think about people questioning your existence?

To be frank, I expected it when I created the first pair of humans. I thought of letting them figure out life for themselves and leave me to do the rest. I didn’t really think that they would be destroying my own creations…

We’ve created so many theories and beliefs around your existence. What’s your take on religion and rituals?

My take? I just want people to know that I love them just the way they love me, but I don’t pray to them or follow any rituals. I just make sure that their mistakes are forgiven and even after so much destruction, I maintain the world as liveable.

Are you a group of Gods or a single God?

That is for you to decide, how you see me. All I want people to know is that they were created out of love, and I or we (however you want to think of it) didn’t want them to kill each other to prove  a reciprocation of that love.

God believes in love and not hate. God believes in the giving of life, not in the taking. God believes in molding a beautiful world to express love, not to perform meaningless rituals.
