The hustles and problems of city life make me appreciate village life as portrayed by Chagall even more. Animals, plants, and humans co-exist in a symbiotic way in the village. You don’t go to the grocery and endure an unending cue just to get milk, eggs, fruits, and vegetables. There, you just go straight to the cow and milk it and presto, you got yourself fresh milk. When you get tired of burgers and pizzas, you just walk a few steps and you're greeted with fresh green vegetables. No air pollution either. The fields and open spaces offer fresh air that's great for your health. Your respiratory system will not complain as it does in the city. In a city like Manila, your lungs will have to get used to black smog and fumes which you breathe all the time. If you have allergic rhinitis or asthma, you better move to the village. Oh no you will not survive Manila, believe me. The water from the springs in the village is so sweet, you will thank God you don’t have to buy gallons of mineral water any more. When you get thirsty, you'll drink spring water. So... village life or city life?
