Some old things are pretty and nice to look at. Some are still fit to be sold. Old wood like the ones we used in our house look much better as they become older. Like worn out jeans, they acquire character as time passes. Some things in life become better while the years pass. Like old wine they taste better after a number of years. They develop a certain quality of taste that can only happen after a time passes.
Just like relationships, some become sweeter after spending quality years together. The mixture of good times and bad becomes a catalyst of growth for those involved. Of course when you enter into a relationship, you are susceptible to being hurt. But at that same particular time, you also have the chance to experience pure joy. When you travel the rough road of life it is inevitable to pass through holes and cracks, some dents and some bumps. All these are part of the trip. An integral portion of the itinerary of the journey called life. We have to pass through all these setbacks, all the distractions, all the worries, the quarrels, the misunderstandings, the hurts and the frustrations; they are all part of the plan. Sometimes those things we try to avoid experiencing are disguised occurrences that lead to unexpected joys.
