A little thing in life can go a long way… even something as insignificant as a loose coin, a simple bill, a mere humble pencil! All you need is a little bit of creativity to change how you perceive something. I mean look at that! The humble pencil used to make amazing art sits there as an art in and of itself just because of one man’s vision and thought to create it! What did the first pencil-sculptor envision? What ridicule could he have faced? You’re going to make a what? Out of what? What?
Taking risks is of utmost importance in life. You can never reach brilliance without giving your thought a shot; lose that shot and you lose that chance at greatness. Remember when you were young, and things were so easy? That’s because you never thought of failure. You didn’t get the concept of failure; you didn’t have to. You just had to try out stuff. Yes, you cut your hands, got dirty and fell off the fence, but you did make it to that fruit on the top branch of a tree or run faster than anyone else could! It balanced out back then, and you were content with that; risk never held you back.
As an adult, the fear of failure kicks in. You think of starting a business but your fear reins you back; what if it doesn’t work? Suddenly you are too scared to invest- what if you don’t get the money back? Great people don’t do different things, they just do things differently due to their courage to take the risk it and make it real!
And that’s how a humble pencil becomes a piece of art…
