Donuthing - by Robert Hilmersson
Nestled before you, enticing, beautiful, vulnerable. Topped with pink curves, creamy skin as soft as moonlight on a windless lake. You’ve never seen anything quite like this. Luscious, rich, so sensual in your mouth. You already imagine tasting, savoring the feel of it against your lips, your tongue. Stop. Withstand the temptation.
Step away from the donut.
Now.
What do you think you’re doing? You spent all that time, you trained yourself in calorie-counting and label-reading and nutrition-hunting, you dripped buckets of sweat and tears (to the disgust of your fellow gym-members)—just to give into a craving now? Because you know your weakness. You know just one donut won’t be enough. You know you’ll do the inevitable ugly sin: you’ll gorge.
Take a step back. You can do it. Listen to me! Discipline yourself—you can do it. Police yourself. It’s all in the mind. What do you want, you want to gain back everything you lost? You want to be fat again? You want to turn into a big fat policeman? You know that’s not what I mean by “police yourself”! Is that what you want??
I didn’t think so. Step away. The donut’s mine.
