The first showers of rain can be intoxicating—a true surprise, a rush, a joy. And sometimes, depending on where you are and what you are doing, they can have the opposite displeasing, effect. In the urban cities we live in, the latter is more common. It always feels like it’s raining just to spite you, to specifically destroy your plan. Like it's personal. You'd be in your white cottons or your high heels or carrying your presentation , when it just has to rain.
So while you feel those first showers of rain to wash away your plans and dampen your mood, why not instead make the most of it and become a child again. Remember, when rain would mean jumping on puddles and making paper boats? What better excuse do you need to let that child in you unfurl and let loose? You could toss away those heels and run in the rain and not care about the whites revealing your body. You’re a child of the storm, the nature, of nature, too.
Scared of people staring at you? Well, did it ever stop you when your mother would pull your ear for returning home with mud on your bright school uniform?
I didn’t think so.
